Sturdy and loooks cool!I use this for my phone and I use this for a speaker. I have it installed on my e bike and this thing holds on to everything perfectly tight.. but its up to you to get it tight.. there is a screw lever at the side that you have to turn to get the desired/ needed tightness for the object you are wishing to hold.I use this off roading and its never bounced off my bike.. not even come lose. .I use it for my ipone pro (the biggest one) and I use it for a samsung speaker.. works like a charm and its easy to install fantastic product. if you are looking for a good phone holder for your regular bike, e bike or motorcycle.. this is it. buy it.. great price, great prodcutSeems to be a decent quality. It held my S20 FE in pelican case just fine over somewhat rough commute to work. There were two plastic inserts for different sizes handle bars. You can tighten the screw down on your phone really hard and it’s not going anywhere. I can hit my phone and it won’t fall out. You will need a phone case that can handle the pressure on it. I have an otter box and it’s perfect. One thing I don’t like is that it rattles when you don’t have a phone in it. Build quality is good. It came with an extra big screw. I couldn’t figure out where it was supposed to go and I didn’t need it.This is a very well-made aluminum unit with a good grip, but don't be afraid to tighten it well on your phone. I got too complacent and had my cell slip out just as I got home from a long ride. There are similar holders that have extra grippers at the bottom of the phone. They don't look as nice as this one but might be a bit more secure, especially if you ride off-road or like to jump curbs.Good phone holder. East to install. Recommend using thread lock as screws come lose over time with vibrations of the road. Customer service is very helpfulSolid construction, it arrived looking as well made as the photos made me think it would be. One issue, I don't recall in the descriptions that it said that this could be mounted landscape - but it can. From the photos I guessed by the construction that it could be installed sideways so that your phone sits landscape, so ordering this was a leap of faith. Luckily the mounting is indeed constructed so that the portion holding the phone can be installed 90 degrees apart - or 180 for that matter. It's actually a keyed fit between the two parts that is very nicely machined. My intended use is to start filming all of my cycle commutes again, but I saw no use in lugging around a separate "action cam" because my ride is relatively short. I'll just record each commute, and if nothing noteworthy happens, just delete the video - as was my practice anyway when using a dedicated "action cam" when living in a big city. Now living in a smaller town, the need wasn't apparent at first - but there's too much roadway misbehavior that defies logic and demands recording. It claps securely to my handlebars, and just a wee bit the bar shows in the image, but just enough to act as proof that it's my bike the camera is mounted to - should the need arise to prove that. All metal construction is a huge plus, as this will be used in all weather, all year around. Only negative, it can be lifted by anyone with the right size hex, so unless you have secure storage on both ends of your commute you may have to consider other options. One possibility would be to get some specially "keyed" hardware such is available from some manufacturers of seat clamps to provide theft proof seat hardware - but that's expensive.Bought the standard, non-rotating, version and so far this is the best bicycle phone mount I've owned. I'll qualify that by saying I've only been riding for two years, and have put 13,600 miles on my road bike. Also, I can't truly speak to the durability since I've only been using it for about five weeks. There seem to be lots of mounts that put a little squeeze on the phone and then rely on the stretchy band to hold it. I've tried a few of them, and based on my experience, they always shake, and eventually break. It's also a bit tedious to apply the rubber/silicone band to the four corners of the phone. This aluminum holder is refreshingly simple and quick. Just turn the screw until the arms grip your phone. There are little stick-on pads which help to hold the phone, but they aren't much. So if you prefer a naked phone, I'd recommend finding some kind of cover to prevent this holder marking up the sides. There appear to be other companies marketing the same product. So this is not so much praise for MaxMiles as it is the design. It's simple in and out, and holds the phone in place without shaking. Forget plastic. Forget the stretchy bands. This just works.-------------------------------------Update after two years:This mount is still holding my phone, and is still as sturdy as it was five weeks after my purchase. The little stick-on pads I mentioned above are gone, but since my phone is always in a case, this is insignificant. Very happy with this product!
